Two somewhat old projects.

Just cleaning up my desktop now that the semester is over. Found these two pieces that I have never uploaded and almost forgot about the first one. 

The first piece was a logo done last year for a business called Mount Trout Marina House. They had contacted my college looking for a new logo. 

When I think about a marina the first thing that comes to mind is a life float on a pole with a sign onto saying “Fishing”. I wanted to implement that float in the logo somehow to give the idea of a marina. After my logo had been submitted we were told that the owner didn't want a trout in the logo but instead a goose. In the end my logo wasn’t chosen as the final piece and didn't receive the money price, sad face, but a friend of mine did make it to the final two.

The second piece is a newer piece. We had to work with a partner for this piece and make a wordmark for our “client” friend. My “client” was big into script text and paintings. The font I found to begin his wordmark is called Mission Script. By playing around with the placement of the text in illustrator I took the rest into hand and began to do some modifications to the letters. I found this easier than playing with the letters through illustrator and losing my mind with all those points. In the end after finding something I thought best fit my client I began to pen tool the wordmark. In the end my friend was really happy with what came out.
